VDOT TO HOLD PUBLIC HEARING ON NEW MARKET ROAD (ROUTE 5) TURN LANE CONSTRUCTION IN HENRICO COUNTY
Public invited to learn more about the proposed project on May 14
SOUTH CHESTERFIELD—The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) will hold a public hearing on a proposed turn lane construction project for New Market Road (Route 5) at Buffin Road in the Henrico County. The primary purpose of this project is to construct eastbound and westbound left turn lanes on New Market Road (Route 5) at Buffin Road and to construct a right turn lane on northbound Buffin Road to eastbound New Market Road (Route 5).
The meeting will be held Tuesday, May 14 from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at the Varina Public Library, located at 1875 New Market Road, Henrico, VA 23231. Held in an open forum style, this meeting will provide an opportunity for individuals, businesses or organizations to give VDOT input on the project.
Comments about the proposed project may be submitted at the meeting or until May 24 by mailing them to Adam Brooks, project manager, Virginia Department of Transportation, 2430 Pine Forest Drive, Colonial Heights, VA 23834-9002. Comments can also be emailed to [email protected]. Please reference “Route 5 Turn Lanes” in the subject line.
