Overnight Ramp Closures at Multiple I-66 Interchanges June 26-July 1 for the Transform 66 Outside the Beltway Project

FAIRFAX – Temporary ramp closures are scheduled to occur during the overnight hours at the following I-66 interchanges as part of the Transform 66 Outside the Beltway Project.

Monday night, June 26 through Friday night, June 30 
Ramp from I-66 West to Route 29 North and South Centreville
The ramp will be closed nightly from midnight to 4 a.m. for noise wall work. Traffic will be detoured prior to the closure to Route 28 South, then follow signs to Route 29 North or South. 


Monday night, June 26, and Tuesday night, June 27
Ramp from I-66 East to Route 28 North and Braddock Road/Walney Road   
The ramp will be closed both nights from midnight to 4 a.m. for inspections. Traffic will be detoured farther east to Route 286 (Fairfax County Parkway) North, stay to the right to I-66 West, then follow signs to Route 28 North. 


Monday, June 26
Ramp from I-495 North to I-66 East
The ramp will be closed from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. for overhead bridge work and painting. Traffic will be directed to continue north to Route 7 (Leesburg Pike) East, travel about one mile, then follow signs to I-66 East.

 

Wednesday night, June 28, through Friday night, June 30
Ramp from Route 28 South and Braddock Road/Walney Road to I-66 West
The ramp will be closed each night from midnight to 4 a.m. for inspections. Traffic will be directed to continue farther south, exit to Route 29 South, travel about one mile, then follow signs to I-66 West.


Thursday night, June 29
Ramps from Route 286 North and South to I-66 West
The ramps will be closed from midnight to 4 a.m. for guardrail installation and barrier removal. Traffic from both directions of Route 286 will be directed to I-66 East, exit to Route 50 West, then stay to the right and follow signs to I-66 West. 


Friday night, June 30
I-66 West to Route 50 East
The ramp will be closed from midnight to 4 a.m. for light pole installation. Traffic will be detoured farther west to Route 286 South, stay to the right to I-66 East, then follow signs to Route 50 East.
