FAIRFAX – New bypass lanes will open at the Nutley Street/I-66 Interchange on Saturday, July 29, as the interchange is modified into its final configuration as part of the Transform 66 Outside the Beltway Project. The lanes will give drivers direct access from Nutley Street North to I-66 West and from Nutley Street South to I-66 East without having to enter the roundabouts. The new bypass lanes are anticipated to open around 11 a.m. Drivers should use caution and follow new signage through the interchange.

All work is weather dependent and will be rescheduled should inclement conditions occur.

Details include:

Saturday, July 29
Nutley Street North to I-66 West  

• Drivers traveling north on Nutley Street will stay to the right as they approach the roundabout, then follow signs to the new northbound bypass lane and the loop ramp to I-66 West.
• The bypass lane is anticipated to open around 11 a.m.

Saturday, July 29
Nutley Street South to I-66 East  

• Drivers traveling south on Nutley Street will stay to the right as they approach the roundabout, then follow signs to the new southbound bypass lane and the loop ramp to I-66 East.
• The bypass lane is anticipated to open around 11 a.m.
