VDOT News - Culpeper

CULPEPER — Interstate 64 in Albemarle and Louisa Counties and I-66 in Fauquier County are clear, but the highways are wet in spots.  Plummeting temperatures and high winds in some areas overnight could result in patches of black ice, especially on bridges, overpasses, ramps and crossovers. 

Crews with the Virginia Department of Transportation will work into the evening Monday to clear state-maintained secondary roads and neighborhood streets.  Most roads in the Culpeper District are in minor condition with a few in moderate condition.  That means they are passable, but drivers could encounter ice and slush. Crews will be on duty overnight to complete plowing and respond to reports of icy conditions.

Please use extreme caution tonight and tomorrow morning and allow extra time for your commute.
